I know the title sounds a bit weird but this is it. I’m going to eat a frog with a tomato(pomodoro).

No no no, I’m kidding :D.

This is a name given to a technique introduced and developed by Francesco Cirillo in the late 1980s to manage time and kick procrastination in the bum.

I am big on time wasting myself and I struggle with managing my tasks within time. As life goes by and I grew up I realised that time has the real value in life, even more than money. I came across this technique and was really surprised that it can be this easy to manage your tasks and avoid procrastination. It’s simple, you put on a timer of 25 mins, avoid all distractions and focus on the task in hand. You work with 100% focus on the task but as the time finishes you get a 5–7 minutes break. This way your mind relaxes on regular intervals and you don’t feel fatigued.

I’ve personally used this technique with a bit of alteration, I started studying for an hour and as the 60 minutes mark struck I rush to my PS4 to play a match of 15 minutes on Fifa. This way I’m relaxing myself and I am more focused in the academic tasks I give to myself. My attention span is rising and I am not wasting time anymore as compared to the previous weeks. I’ve used this technique to my my advantage and I think you should too.

Let me know did you find it interesting, and if you did kindly share your experiences.
